在图书馆突然一胖人搭讪：Where are you from?
我说中国然后他劈头盖脸地问：How do you like American food?
我想给他点面子，就说：I cook Chinese food in my apartment.
他恬不知耻地说：You need some American food! 然后爆料说他自己当过9年的厨子。
他又问：中文里面fat怎么说？我说胖，他就说，以后他开餐馆的名字就叫PANG…
我走时他抽下本书给我说：This is a book I want you to read. 我一看：Food in the USA. 他说，你要是在这书里看到什么好菜，I’ll cook for you.
我确定他没看过这书，因为导言第二页写着：two-thirds of the articles in this book are authored by cultural anthropologists and American studies scholars.
